Hawthorn Cottage is approached via a single track lane through a gateway into an enclosed courtyard area with 9 other properties. Parking for one car on gravel area directly in front of the cottage. Stone cobble edging between lawn and parking area. Outside light to entrance is infra red operation.

Slightly raised stone paving and door threshold at entrance. Standard width main entrance door within storm porch opens directly into kitchen. Coir entrance mat in porch, kitchen and conservatory floors are tiled. All other rooms are carpeted. Television and DVD player operated by remote control. The lounge is accessed from the kitchen and the downstairs ensuite bedroom is accessed directly from the sitting room with level access into each, there is a narrower than normal doorway into the bathroom. The bathroom has standard fittings and a vinyl floor. There is slightly raised threshold to double doors into the fully glazed conservatory. Quarry tile floor. The kitchen has standard fittings including fridge/freezer, washing machine, hob and low-level built in oven. There is a cordless kettle and a low level grill. Most of the garden is laid to lawn with a small gravelled area with picnic bench. The garden is fully enclosed and can be accessed via one step from the conservatory or via two steps through a gate at the side of the cottage.

Stairs lead up from the kitchen to bedrooms 1 and 2 and the main bathroom. All carpeted with the exception of the bathroom which has vinyl flooring. Tiled step into the shower cubicle. Standard bath. There is a step up into bedroom 1.

All electrical sockets and switches are at standard heights. Doors fitted with standard door handles.

Good colour contrast between doors and walls. Audible smoke alarms fitted. Carbon monoxide alarm in kitchen. No telephone available however, mobile phone reception is good and wifi is available.
